Huawei changed the game when they introduced the P20 Pro, an "eye-candy" flagship smartphone with the twilight gradient color. It was dubbed as the "smartphone that could have the best colors in years".
Since the P20 Pro would be pricey for some, the Chinese smartphone giant made the "Iris Purple" colored-smartphone more affordable in the form of the Nova 3 and Nova 3i.

Technology behind the gradient color
Huawei uses the structural coloration to create a brilliant and rich structural colors that cannot be produced with just simple pigments. It is caused by by surfaces with microscopic irregularities that bend visible light in a way that light beams are retracted, reflected, and interfere with each other.
It then gives a certain iridescence to surface that allows the viewer to perceive different colors at different angles. Huawei uses five layers of nano coating to achieve the gradient color. However, our eyes can only see rich and illusionary blue-purple gradient color.
Huawei took more than a year to develop the gradient color. The smartphone giant used tens of thousands pane of glass for testing purposes. It took them half a year to finalize the gradient color combination.
The Ultra-Violet color Pantone of 2018 is the inspiration of the gradient color.
Huawei Nova 3 and 3i is also available in Pearl White and Classic Black. You can get the Nova 3 for PHP 25,990 and Nova 3i for PHP 15,990.
