Motorola Moto E5 Plus: First Camera Samples
The Motorola Moto E5 Plus is a promising entry mid-range smartphone with beautiful design and big battery capacity. But, aside from those features, it has an interesting primary camera.
Good cameras for the price? |
The Moto E5 Plus is equipped with a 12MP f/2.0 primary shooter at the back. It has laser AF, PDAF, and LED flash. It is one of the few with laser AF and PDAF at this price point.
5MP selfie cam only |
So, we can expect it to have speedier and more accurate focus versus other phones with traditional autofocus only.
For selfies, it isn't that exciting. It only has a 5MP f/2.0 shooter. Fortunately, it arrived with an LED flash for lowlight self snaps.
Anyway, here are the first few shots we got using the E5 Plus.
Please have a look!

As expected, autofocus is quick and snappy. Shooting speed is also faster than the older mid-range Moto phones.
It also delivered one of the nicest HDR daylight shots at this price point. It has plenty of details even in the sky and good color balance/accuracy.
Our only gripe is it overexposed the white flower in our daylight close-up shot.
The indoor shot we took is also quite great. It has grain, but we were surprised that the latern-like light bulb is still detailed. Lowlight performance is also acceptable.
Selfies needs improvement though. Daylight shots are okay. But it has a problem with indoor shots. White balance is off and it made my selfie with Duey of Unbox.ph yellowish in color tone.
In lowlight, loss of detail is evident. Use the flash to take respectable lowlight selfies.
